Winding Down the Summer

My new blog background came about because I am aching to be sitting on the beach at Panama City. But considering that we only have 3 weeks until I go back to work, I am not sure that is gonna happen.

I have been sneaking Matthew back to daycare 1-2 days a week. He does NOT like it. He has always by opinionated, but now he is becoming more verbal about it. Instead of just whining that he doesnt want to go, he starts with the "I not go to Shanna's, I want to go back home!"

He also tells me quite often what he likes and doesnt like. The other night for dinner, I made sloppy joe's. "What's that mama?" "It's sloppy joe's." "No, that BBQ, I LOVE BBQ!"

This afternoon, I was packing up his comforter set that was on his baby bed (tear) and he was digging through his drawer of blankets. He found a ducky blanket and asked me what it was. I told him that Terri made it for him. "I Love it mama!"

We do get our fair share of things that he does not like....and he tells me.

We also have to be careful because he repeats whatever you say. Like Brian using his own made up word: shard (Dont ask, it is TMI) So he has been going around the house saying it.

Brooke is going to Nana's not next week, but the next week and she is excited. They are going to see the Mermaids and we may take her down there and go to Manatee Springs so Brian can dive. The kids and I can snorkel and swim while he does that.

I have had to sing Darius Rucker's song, "It Wont Be Like This For Long" a lot this summer.

Brandon is working in the fields and he likes the cash. He should have football camp in the next week or so.
