Girl's Day...

Since it was Matthew's last week at Shanna's, I decided that I needed to get my money's worth and take him. So, Brooke and I had a girl's day out! We dropped Matthew off at 9:30 and went to the hairdresser's. When we got there, Brooke's 3rd grade teacher was getting hers done, so we got to visit with her. Then she took Brooke over the bakery for breakfast while Michelle got to work on my gray hair! When Brooke got back, she decided to get out the camera:
It was lunchtime when we got done, so she got to choose where we went. She decided that she wanted Krystal!! So we went and ate and visited with Mr. Dye for a while. Then we headed to Luxury Nails. It seems like everyone on my hall had zebra stripe toes, so that is what Brooke and I decided to get. Here she is getting her toes done. She never smiles so when he painted those stripes on her toes and she grinned, I knew that she liked them. The ladies were making fun of how he did it, so I told him that he did a great job.
Here are our toes at the end:

We went to the library, I have not been in since they finished the remodeling, but WOW!!! It is like a bookstore! We got lots of books for our summer reading list. I still have not read the Twilight Series, so I got the first one.

Then we went to look at furniture WITHOUT Matthew. We need a new couch but I did not find anything that I liked.

We ended the day with a trip to Walmart to return some things.

So that is how we spend the first day of summer vacation! Tomorrow we are taking the kids at Shanna's Happy Meals since Matthew wont be going back. I will miss Shanna and all of the babies, but Matthew needs to be in school, so he will be starting Peace Lutheran Preschool in the Fall!
