Saturday Hodge Podge

You want your kid to read, it is a great day when they can. But then you have to deal with questions about this when you are at the checkout:And I'm not talking about Angelina, if you will look in the left center, this is what she blurted out in the middle of wal-mart!
I am in love with these:

Yellow-box flip flops. I have two pairs so far, in my favorite-polka dots!!! But I think that I need a dressy black pair like this. They also have zebra print ones, but they have wedge heels and I dont like heels.

Matthew has become Hector the Collector. If you look in the back of his firetruck, you will currently find: a ziploc full of ornament hooks, Grandmama and Mr. Bill's picture from the refrigerator, silly putty, a rattle that he got before he was born, various Little People and whatever else he deems worthy of putting back there.

I bought slipcovers for the couch and loveseat since it is 12 years old and we are in desperate need of a new one, but since daycare takes such a large chunk of our check (and I am thankful every day for Shanna and how much Matthew loves her) we have to wait until he is out of daycare before we can buy a new one. (One year left!) Anyway, no one told me what a pain in the butt they were! I cannot get them to fit. I think it may be time to call in Terri! (HINT, HINT!)
