Richmond White and Cuthbertson Christmas Patterns

Today at Kelly's Korner Show Us Your Life: China Patterns
I got married in December, so I decided that instead of a fine china, I would pick my every day and then a Christmas china. It must have been a good idea, because I got TONS of it! I have 12 full place settings and all of the serving pieces of my every day then by the time we swapped and traded I got 8 full place settings and some serving pieces of my Christmas china!

My every day is Johnson Brothers Richmond White. I chose it because it was white and ornate, and I could see a lot of things going with it. I was afraid that if I chose something flowery, I would get tired of it.
My Christmas china is Cuthbertson Christmas Tree, the English version, it has a small green band around the sides. It is very similar to the Spode Christmas china. There are two versions and I did not know this at the time, but the one with the red band is the American version. Both of them are discontinued and the pieces that I added to it afterwards were either bought off of Ebay or Replacements. I also lucked up with the tea glasses and wine glasses and found them at Goodwill!
