Happy Birthday to Brandon!

Today Brandon is 17, I havent really been able to think about too hard because I have been very busy packing up my classroom with 15 helpers...but I guess it hit me hard when we got home. Shelby came home with us and is going to go and eat with us and eat cake which I will post pictures of later. I wanted to share how our first date was and the first time that I spent a good bit of time with Brandon. I cannot believe that it has been 14 years since then: Brian and I were going to go and get something at lunch. He had Brandon and they came and picked me up from work. We went to Burger King and Brian still had his Ford truck. Brandon was in the back seat in the car seat and Brian told him to come on and get out, we were going to get a hamburger. He looked at his daddy and said no. Now, I want to tell or remind you that Matthew is the spitting image of Brandon at 3. So just picture in your mind Matthew saying these things. Brian was about to get mad at him, but Brandon looked at his daddy and said, I wanna go with her. So I got him out, toted him in, and had to feed him. We got NO alone time when he was around, he was a good little chaperone. And remember our wedding? Brandon had had enough by then and decided that he didnt want to be still anymore. He started walking circles around us. But the sweetest is when we were in the middle of the prayer and Brandon grabbed Brian's hand and stood with us. He was a mess at that age.
