This weekend, one that was supposed to be easy and stress free has been stressFULL! Brandon had a scrimmage game Friday night, so Brian and Shelby went while I stayed home and finally gort caught up on laundry and mopping floors. Shelby text me and said they were stopping by McDonald's and then BRandon was taking her home. Not 20 minutes later they paged out a wreck between our house and Shelby's and I will be the first to admit that I lost it. It is the only time besides the time that Mr. Curtis and Mrs. Delores's house caught on fire that I have screamed at Brian to go on a call and hurry up and get out of the house. I had enough wits about me to call his phone, but he has no signal between the houses so I called Shelby's. She answered and said that he had just dropped her off. Well, with me trying to get hold of Brian to tell him, he passes Brandon, the wreck was actually OFF of that road, so Brandon nonchalantly walks in the door and asks where daddy was going. By this time, I am calmer, but still a nervous wreck and have made Shelby one in the process. Before I explained, I told him to call her and tell her he was OK. But it was a car full of his buds, 7 of them piled into one truck and NO seat belts. Luckily they were all ok except for a few stitches and bumps.
Saturday morning, Brooke went to a birthday party. Brandon had football pics at 8 am, and then he went to the car wash hosted by the cheerleaders. When he got back home that afternoon he said he thought he had a wasp sting. We put alcohol on it and it got worse and worse. Then it got feverish and his arm went numb. We headed to the ER and the doc said it was probably staph infection. He got a shot and some benadryl and he was much better this morning.
Todd's grandmama passed away early this morning, they were expecting it, but I know that it was hard anyway. It's funny what you remember from your childhood and a lot of my memories were from church. Every Sunday Mr. Mason and Mrs. Inez sat on the front pew a couple up from us. Behind them a couple of rows back were Mrs. Dot and Mr. Lowell. I can tell you exactly what the back of their heads looked like and how many times Mr. Lowell moved his tatooed arm around Mrs. Dot.....Not once during those times did I think that my sister would marry Todd, but I am glad that she did.
First football game Friday! In Waycross, then the kids are showing goats Saturday morning sometime. Busy weekend, hope the fall weather comes soon to go with all of our fall activities!!
